Tired family home, six-day turnaround

A four-bedroom family home that had been lived in for nineteen years and maintained honestly rather than presented. The vendor had been quoted for a kitchen renovation by another contractor. We recommended against it and spent a fraction of that figure on paint, floors, cleaning and the defect list instead.

What we did

• Full declutter and garage clear-out
• Interior repaint in a neutral palette, including all trim
• Carpet replaced in living areas and three bedrooms
• Twenty-two item defect list closed out
• Deep clean including windows, oven and grout
• Garden tidy, mulch, edging and pressure washing
• Partial staging of living, dining and main bedroom

What we did not do

The kitchen. The layout was sound and the cabinetry was solid; only the doors and benchtop were dated. New doors, handles and a resurfaced benchtop achieved most of the visual gain for a small share of a renovation budget.
