Short answer
Exterior pressure washing removes the grey film, moss and mould that builds on driveways, paths, render and roofs. It is one of the most visually dramatic and least expensive pre-listing jobs, and it often makes a property look several years newer in the listing photograph.

Dirt accumulates slowly enough that the people living with it stop seeing it. A buyer sees it in the first photograph. Pressure washing is the closest thing to a free upgrade that exists in home preparation.
Render, painted surfaces and older weatherboard damage easily under a high-pressure lance. Those surfaces get soft washing – a low-pressure application of a cleaning solution that kills mould and lichen, then a gentle rinse. Using the wrong method costs more to fix than the wash saved.
Wet render photographs darker than dry render, and a freshly washed driveway takes a day or more to return to its true colour. We schedule exterior washing several days ahead of photography rather than the morning of.
Different surfaces need different pressures. Render and paint get soft washing, not a lance.
Mould, lichen and oil stains are treated chemically before washing, not blasted off.
Worked top down so nothing is recontaminated.
Entry, portico and door hardware finished by hand.
