Short answer
Pre-listing landscaping focuses on the areas visible from the street and from the main living windows: lawn condition, hedge lines, mulched garden beds and defined edges. It is inexpensive relative to its effect, because the exterior photograph determines whether a buyer clicks through to the listing at all.

The exterior photograph is the only one that decides whether a buyer looks at the other twenty. Everything inside the home is downstream of that image, which makes garden work the cheapest high-leverage spend in a pre-listing budget.
A garden tidy for sale is not the same as garden maintenance. We photograph the property from the street and from the angles a listing photographer will use, then concentrate effort there. The back corner of the yard nobody will see gets a tidy, not a redesign.
A patchy lawn cannot be fixed the day before photography. If the lawn is the problem, we need two to four weeks of feeding and repair, or we recommend turf. Tell us early and it is a small job; tell us late and it is a compromise.
Campaigns run for weeks and grass keeps growing. We offer fortnightly maintenance through the campaign so the property a buyer inspects matches the property they saw online.
We photograph the property from the road and from the listing photographer's likely angles.
Effort goes where the camera goes, not evenly across the block.
Cut, weed, mulch, edge and gap-plant in one or two visits.
Optional fortnightly visits so week four looks like week one.
